Therapeutic Yoga
In a stress-filled world we all need a time to relax and center our minds and bodies. Therapeutic yoga is a healing art utilizing modified asanas (poses) in restful positions to release tension in muscular tissues. Classes are very passive in nature, with participants moving within poses and resting. Participants are supported within each pose with blankets and bolsters so that all tension is released. Rates and scheduling are as follows:

Qi-Gong/Tai-Chi
Qi-Gong is a form of meditation in movement that is to balance the flow of qi or “life energy” around the body. It is used as an aid in healing as well as preventative measure against disease and illness. The emphasis of this discipline is on the need for balance and awareness at the center of the body. The body is put through a set of slow gentle movements that create an immediate feeling of well-being and contribute to a longer healthier life. Exercises help to rejuvenate internal organs, strengthen muscles, enhance the immune system and promote agility.

Young at Heart Club
The Young at Heart Club is a 30-45 minute exercise class for senior citizens. All participants are screened to participate in the class by a licensed physical therapist. The class emphasis is to lower blood pressure, increase flexibility, improve cardiovascular conditioning, and build functional strength. Classes are offered 2-3 times per week.
