The Focus Approach
We believe that most pain, inflammation, and weakness of musculoskeletal origin is caused by faulty biomechanics during movement and daily postures.
Initial Evaluation
During the first visit, the physical therapist performs a comprehensive evaluation of the entire musculoskeletal system. All faulty postures, poor movement patterns, and structural problems are identified.

Correct the Biomechanical Dysfunction
All therapists at Focus are certified in Active Release Techniques. This soft tissue manipulation eliminates soft tissue tension and nerve tension, restoring normal movement and optimal function.

Maintain Flexibility and Build Strength
From day one, specific stretching programs are incorporated to increase flexibility, relieve pain of tissue entrapment, and increase range of motion. Pilates, yoga and other therapeutic exercises are used to re-educate muscles, strengthen, and build core stability.

Boost the body’s natural healing potential
When necessary, physical therapy patients are treated with acupuncture and herbal supplements to boost and unlock the body’s own healing powers and immune system.
