David Vrsalovic MS, PT, A.R.T., Cert
MDT Director of Physical
Therapy & co-owner
David Vrsalovic
earned his Master of Science in physical therapy from
Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.
David’s career began at the Westside Sports Physical Therapy
group in New York City where he worked for years within the
Hospital of Special Surgery’s Network. Through his years of
continuing education David has become a certified provider
of Active Release Techniques and the McKenzie Method of
Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine. Through
this highly specialized training, he has developed a unique
and holistic approach to the evaluation and treatment of
orthopedic disorders.

Cathy Stephenson MS, PT, A.R.T., MSW
Director of Physical Therapy/Wellness & co-owner
Cathy
Stephenson received her Master of Science in Physical
Therapy from Long Island University and began her career at
the Westside Sports Physical Therapy group. Aware of the
critical need to address the psychological component of the
healing process, Cathy enrolled at New York University,
where she completed a Master of Science in Clinical Social
Work. She incorporated her psychosocial training into the
development of Focus programs for patients suffering from
chronic pain. Her teaching resume includes Long Island
University Department of Physical Therapy, Columbia
University Physical and Occupational Therapy Staff, Be Yoga
and classes given at Focus Physical Therapy. Her
credentials include certification in Active Release
Techniques, Pilates, and Therapeutic Yoga.
Walter Fricke, D.Sc., L.Ac.
Director of Acupuncture
Walter’s approach to medicine is holistic, utilizing the
concepts of ancient Eastern Chinese herbal medicine and
acupuncture. These principles are incorporated with modern
Western testing procedures, herbal supplements, and diet
management to bring complete health and wellness to his
patients. Walter earned his Doctor of Science degree
from the Indiana College of Oriental Medicine and a Master
of Science in Acupuncture from the Eastern School of
Acupuncture in Montclair, where he is currently a faculty
member. He is a board certified member of the
American Alternative Medical Association. Walter first
began to study Eastern philosophies and disciplines over 32
years ago when he began studying martial arts. Twelve years
ago he opened Universal Martial Arts in Bloomfield where he
teaches as a certified Hall of Fame Master Instructor.
